I turn 41 this week and it really has me down. More than any other year it feels like a turning point and a milestone. One I hate :(
I used to say "if I can just get pregnant by 40 everything will be fine". Well I did three times and everything is not fine.
Some people say kids age them. I say infertility ages you much worse I feel old and jaded to the bone.

I am so sorry that this is not such a happy birthday for you. I could not agree with you more, IF certainly ages you. I am constantly saying how for a healthy person, I certainly go the doctor all the time. it makes me feel like an old, sick person (even though I know I am not). I do want to wish a very happy birthday, I hope you can find even a small way to celebrate.
I hear you...each year after 40 has weighed heavily on me. I'm just so damned aware of each year that has passed. Don't let this infertility crap age you if you can help it. Take care of yourself, sleep well, eat well. I truly hope you eek out some enjoyment of this week's birthday.
Hugs,
Linda
My condolences on this less than thrilling event. Birthdays suck when life is not going according to plan, and 41 has it's own milestoney lameness. That said, I hope the actual day brings you lots of love and maybe a little joy.
I'm late to commenting here. I hear you about non-fun birthdays, and the aging effects of IF. I hope your spirits are up.
Hey! I just swept by your blog. Found it through a mutual friend's. Wishing the best for you and looking forward to following your journey. Sorry about the pain you are experiencing. I pray you find peace and keep hope.
